The CABA office assists undergraduate and graduate students with information on education and teaching programs in aquaculture and fisheries on campus. Career opportunities with an undergraduate degree cover a wide range of options, such as aquaculture production specialists, resource biologists and managers, environmental consultants, and researchers and professionals pursuing advanced degrees in academic disciplines and professional schools (Veterinary Medicine, Engineering, Economics, Business and Administration). Students specializing in aquatic biology and aquaculture choose a major in any of the areas listed below with specialization in Aquatic Animal Management, Animal Biology, or Fisheries. Programmatic flexibility allows undergraduate students to develop a strong background in specific aspects of aquaculture and fisheries while being exposed to discipline-, mission-, or production-oriented majors. Graduate students have access to researchers affiliated with departments and graduate groups campuswide who focus on aquatic issues.
